Dreaming Shadows

Dreaming Shadows is inspired by '90s survival horror games, combining an immersive narrative with psychological horror elements rather than focusing on survival and combat.

In Dreaming Shadows, players control Alex, a character who is experiencing a series of mysterious and recurring nightmares, and her journey through a mysterious and unsettling world. As she navigates through many eerie places in her dreams (or nightmares), she will walk through her most important memories with her husband and uncover the truth behind her dreams.

As the players progress, they will discover Alex's story and connect important story elements in order to learn more about Alex's life and recover her memory fragments. Guided by lights and shadows, Alex must regain her lucidity, allowing her to understand her own dreams and finally escape this never ending-nightmare.

Focusing on a rich narrative, story-related puzzles, and an unsettling atmosphere, Dreaming Shadows looks to immerse players into a horrifying journey, mixing reality and illusions in the same place, leading players to one of the two shocking endings.

Btw, this is my first complete game, and it was made for Scream Jam 2022 + 1.
